Chasing Ice - Film Screening

In 2005, acclaimed environmental photographer James Balog headed to the Arctic on a tricky assignment for National Geographic - to capture images to help tell the story of the Earth's changing climate by documenting the massive melting taking place in our coldest places.

Pegan Hill Reservation Trail Project

Mary P.C. Cummings Estate Trail Project

Join us to celebrate Public Lands Day on a trail project at the Cummings Estate. The day's project will include brushing and blow down clearing to improve trail conditions. The project is a continuation of the trail work started in 2010 to improve access to the Estate from Burlington. We will begin at 9 AM and work until 3 PM. Volunteers who can't work the full day are encouraged to come for the morning or afternoon.

South Shore 36/47 mile Beach Ride

Moderate paced 36/47 mile ride starting in Hingham. 24 miles will be along the scenic coast and beaches of Scituate and Cohasset and Hull. Those interested in more swimming (or shorter ride) can skip Hull and spending time at Sandy Beach.

If you are interested, you will need a working bike, spare tire, bike helmet, bright clothes and sun block. Swim suit and towel optional. You will also need cash for ice cream stops and lunch. The map link show our four stops where we will regroup.

YM Rock Circuit Trail Work - Saturday, July 4 from 9-1?

YM has adopted the Rock Circuit trail on the eastern side of the Middlesex Fells and this will be an opportunity for both new and experienced trail workers of all abilities. Our work will concentrate on brushing, trash pickup, reporting signage & graffiti issues, and tracking invasive species growth.

Broadmoor Wildlife SanctuaryTrail Project

9AM to 12PM. Join us at Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary to work on improving trail conditions on woodland trails. Broadmoor is Mass Audubon's 624 acre reservation along the Charles River in Natick with a 9-mile trail network of footpaths and woods roads. The trail section we will be working is partly overgrown, and we will be cutting back brush. We will also be working on rerouting the trail around two wet spots and updating the trail markings. Reservations required.
