You will see photos of the trailside wildlife, "refugios" deep within the mountains World War 1 battlefields, and along the way will learn to book your own Alta Via 1 excursion. Join Benno Rawlinson as he tells us about Expedition North, which was an attempt to ski the North West passage, a 4 month ski trek 1200km up the coast of Baffin Island through the depths of winter. Benno, Jamie and their 2 dogs Talar & Colin skied along the coastline on the sea ice starting in the remote town of Qikiqtarjuaq in Nunavut, Canada as they man hauled their way up the coast to Pond Inlet.

The AMC Advanced Skills Workshop (ASW) is designed to introduce experienced winter hikers and climbers to the basic skills required for climbing high altitude mountains such as Mt. Rainier, Mt. Baker, and beyond. The ASW topics will include roped team travel on moderate to high angle snow slopes and glaciers, ice axe use and self-arrest, advanced belay systems, crevasse rescue, snow anchors, and high-altitude medical issues and medications.
Kellie is an AMC Hiking & Backpacking 4-Season Leader; Winter is her primary season of interest; hiking/backpacking/winter camping in the NY Adirondacks High Peaks since 2003, and in the NH Whites since 2007, Climbed Mt. Vallunaraju in Peru at 18,700' in technical gear in 2019; Summited Mt. Rainier at 14,410' in 2017 and 2018; completed the NH 4,000's; AT-100 Mile Wilderness & Katahdin; 5-day backpack of the Rockwall, Kootenay NP in the Canadian Rockies.
Join AMC Boston Climbers and SendHers for a weekend at the Harvard Low Cabin. This is a trip for experienced outdoor ice climbers who know and understand the hazards of ice climbing. Graduates and volunteers of the AMC Ice Program have preference. This is not an ice climbing clinic - no formal instruction will occur and this is not a guided trip. You are responsible for bringing all of your own equipment (harness, helmet, boots, crampons, belay device, rope). You are welcome to sign up if you plan to use the cabin as an opportunity to hike or ski.

SendHers is hosting a gym night Thursday, January 30th at 7pm, at CRG in Watertown. This event is not exclusive to SendHers members, so anyone should feel free to join!

The AMC Boston Rock Program is an annual event where volunteer Instructors and Assistants teach ~65 Students how to climb outdoors. If you're an experienced outdoor climber and think that teaching others how to climb is a great way to spend a few weekends (and meet new climbing partners) then you're welcome to join us.
The course focuses on learning to safely follow an experienced leader on multipitch trad climbs as well as setting up topropes to climb independently.
Rock climbing provides the exhilaration of conquering a crag, but also the puzzle of figuring out a sequence of moves to climb a difficult section of rock. You can experience the rewards and challenges of outdoor rock climbing by taking the Boston Mountaineering Committee's Rock Climbing Program!
