Fall Cape Ann Perimeter Ride - Rescheduled

Rescheduled due to Hurricane Dorian: Bike coastal streets and side roads along scenic Cape Ann, starting from Gloucester. Stops along route for viewing lighthouses, coves, and future beach spots. Ride is 27 - 30 miles of gently rolling terrain with a few hills in between. Bring appropriate wind-protective clothing, lunch, and snacks. Accessible by MBTA Commuter Rail.

Please join us for a cruise through the south shore communities of Hingham, Cohasset, Scituate and Hull starting at Womaptuck State Park Visitor Center (my cell if you have trouble locating the group 978.881.4632). We will pedal at an intermediate pace for a distance of about 30 miles . We need everyone to please bring a helmet, spare tube, water and some snacks. You can bring a lunch if you like but there will be plenty of stops if you would prefer to purchase something.

Watery Wayland Tuesday night ride

Meet in the parking lot behind the Wayland Town Building at the Southwest corner of the intersection of Routes 20 and 126. (41 Cochituate Rd) at 5:30 for a 5;45 pm start. 13-16 mile rolling ride on mostly back roads at a moderate pace. The last piece of the ride will be on the new Mass Central Trail.

Little Compton Ramble

Please join us for a lovely 42 mile moderately paced autumn ride in and around Little Compton RI. A little known historical fact. The Rhode Island Red is a breed of chicken originally bred in Adamsville, a small village that is part of Little Compton. We will visit a couple of beaches and get plenty of ocean views. Feel free to bring your lunch or purchase something in Little Compton. You must have a bike in good working order, spare tube and of course helmets are required.

Meet at 5:45 for a 6 PM start at Lincoln Schools lot by the tennis courts on the left off Ball field Rd off Lincoln Rd, Lincoln, MA 01773; this is just west of the 5-way intersection with Lincoln, Weston, Trapelo, Sandy Pond and Bedford Roads, by the Lincoln Library, a few miles west of Rt 128.

Carlisle Ice Cream Ride

A mellow ramble, 12-13 mph mph average pace, through Concord and Carlisle. We are going to explore the newly open section of the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail. We stop for folks at turns.

30 of the 50 miles will be on bike trails including crush stone paths and dirt roads. Bikes with 28mm tires or wider will have no problem.
