A ramble through quiet rural roads with great views from Route 2 up to Monadnock in NH. We wait for folks at turns. Stops at mile 11 in Royalston, mile 25 in Fitzwilliam, and with lunch at mile 33 in Jaffery. Route is relatively easy after lunch with a 15 mile down hill (and places to swim).
An easy 67 mile ride/tour on quiet country roads leaving Rumney NH promptly at 9:00 AM. If you are interested, you will need a working bike, spare tire, bike helmet, bright clothes, wind breaker and sun block. You will also need cash for ice cream stops at mile 20, 34, 43 and 60.
Rider's cycling speeds on the flats will vary between 12 and 18 mph and a lot slower going up the Hill. We wait for riders at all of the nine turns of the ride (four have ice cream and three turns are in the first five mile).
I have been bike touring for years. In 2014 we went from Pittsburgh to Washington DC on the Great Allegheny Passage; in 2016 from Helsinki to Denmark; in 2018, a 700 mile loop in Austria. Looking for partners for summer of 2019!!!

East Providence to Bristol RI and back. Leisurely 30-35 mile ride at an average pace of 12-14 mph on a paved rail trail along the eastern shores of Narragansett Bay. Lunch stop in Bristol by the Bay - home to one of America's oldest Fourth of July celebrations in the U.S. Stimulate your senses as we cruise by Del's lemonade stands and the best ice cream place this side of Somerville. Enjoy stunning views of the Ocean State shoreline. Side trips to Colt State Park and Audubon boardwalk depending on time and interest.
