New Date: Bike coastal streets and side roads along scenic Cape Ann, starting from Gloucester. Stops along route for viewing lighthouses, coves, and future beach spots. Ride is 27 - 30 miles of gently rolling terrain with a few hills in between. Bring appropriate wind-protective clothing, lunch, and snacks. Accessible by MBTA Commuter Rail.

This weekend the weather is iffy. It it is a nice day we will make to the Hill Top Cafe on a 52 mile loop, if it is wet we will do a shorter loop and have lunch in Pepperell.
A 50 mile ride from the Cape Cod Canal to Woods Hole. 10 miles will be along the scenic Shining Sea Bike Path. You should be able to bike 13-15 mph on the flats.
If you are interested, you will need a working bike, spare tire, bike pump, bike helmet, bright clothes and sun block. Swim suit and towel optional. You will also need cash for lunch. Ride starts at 9:00 AM.
The Cape Cod Canal is 60 miles from Boston so car pooling is encouraged. Please indicate in a message below if you can take a passenger and bike in your car/truck.

Meet at 5:45 to leave promptly at 6:00 for a 12 mile ride from Newton through Wellesley and Weston. Pace is 11-13 mph. Helmets required. Rain cancels. Check this space for rain cancellation. Starts at Duck Feeding area on Norumbega Road. Access parking at Duck Feeding Area from Northbound ramp to 128 from Route 30 (Commonwealth Avenue in Newton) or from right turn just after Mass Pike entrance coming from Route 30 (Commonwealth Avenue in Newton).

Another hot day on Sunday. Along the coast it will be 10 to 15 degrees cooler. Moderate paced 45 mile ride starting in Hingham. 30 miles will be along the scenic coast and beaches of Scituate, Cohasset and Hull. We will go swimming at mile 23 (Sandy Beach has showers and changing room). Ice cream at mile 14 and lunch in Hull at mile 36.

A friendly metric century with several ice cream stops on the quiet back roads of central Massachusetts. We will wait for people at turns. Turns are pretty far apart so there is plenty of opportunities to stretch your legs if we are going too slow.
