AMC Boston Spring Bicycle Rally Saturday, June 8, 2019
Information for Riders

When you arrive, you must give your name and be checked in by the volunteers. When you've checked in you will be given a wrist band that identifies you as a registered rider. You will not be able to ride without a wrist band, no walkins allowed.

The schedule and ride departure times are below. Please try to arrive one half hour prior to your ride's scheduled departure time so you can check in.

10:30am 50 mile ride
11:30am 40 mile ride
12:30pm 29 mile ride
2:00pm 16 mile ride
3:30pm Happy hour and socializing.
5:00pm Dinner (vegetarian option)

Please do not attempt a ride unless you have already done a ride of equivalent mileage on your current bicycle.

AMC Bike Gear Tag Sale!

Bring your unwanted bicycling related gear and clothing for a tag sale at the Bicycle Rally. You set the price, tag and leave the item for sale, and pick up your money before supper! The staffed tag sale starts at 9AM, and ends just before supper: Items must be in good, sellable condition - clothing must be clean, and all items not sold must be picked up at the end of the sale (before dinner).


What to bring on the day of the ride:

For the ride:

  1. Helmet (required)
  2. Food for lunch (there may not be opportunity to purchase along the way)
  3. Water bottle(s)
  4. Sunscreen
  5. Rain gear
  6. High visibility clothes
  7. Spare tube or patch kit, pump, tire irons, sun glasses
  8. Identification

For after ride, you may want to bring:

  1. Bug repellent

Verrill Farm is located at 11 Wheeler Road in Concord, MA. If you are traveling West on Rt 2, turn LEFT at the intersection AFTER Rte. 126. That is Sudbury Rd. The farm is 2+ miles on the Right. If you are traveling East on Rt 2, turn RIGHT at Emerson Hospital, then RIGHT at the next stop sign. Stand will be on your right. Approx. 2+ miles on RIGHT. From Rte. 117, traveling WEST - go through the intersection of Rte. 126, cross the river, and take a RIGHT at the next traffic light, Sudbury Rd. Stand will be on your left. The happy hour and dinner will be under the large tent (in yellow in picture below), the rides will also start from this location. Please park on Wheeler Road away from the main store entrance or in the field up the street.
