Beginner Instructional Ride
April 30, 2016
Want to start riding your bike, but don't quite know how to get your feet wet? The Boston Bicycle Committee is holding and instruction and ride for those new to cycling and those who haven't done it in a long time.
We'll start by some basic instruction in the parking lot to review bicycling basics like shifting, signaling, tire inflation, proper helmet position, group protocol and the like before heading out together on a 10-12 mile ride at an easy pace with no significant hills. We'll have a picnic lunch after the ride.
Bring your bicycle in working order, helmet, and a bag lunch. A bicycle pump and spare tube is recommended.
