2010 Show and Go Hikes
Intro
Come join us on casual three season hikes, typically in the White Mountains. Led by experienced and trained volunteer leaders, these hikes are a fun way to get out of the city for a day, meet some new people, and try out the AMC. Unlike most AMC activities, there is no need to sign up in advance. Just show up at the meeting point at 8 am the morning of the hike, we'll consolidate cars for carpooling, and go hiking. There will be at least one beginner hike each time (around 6 miles, 1000 feet or less elevation gain), as well as a more intermediate-level hike. Specific hike locations are typically not selected before gathering in the morning. We will divide into different hikes based on ability and other factors at the meeting point. Please come prepared with the gear listed below - if the leaders feel your equipment will not be safe, they will ask you not to come that day.
Next Show and Go
The next Show and Go hike is July 31, 2010. Leaders are Dan Westerberg, John Stadalnick, and Brian Lawrence.
We hope to have one or two more before Halloween.
Meeting Place
Show-n-go hikes will meet at 8 AM at the Methuen Park and Ride about 45 minutes north of Boston. Link to directions.
Carpooling
At the park and ride, we will consolidate into as few cars as possible to save gas and keep each other company on the ride up to the mountains. We strongly encourage carpooling from home to the park and ride. Please use this site to find others to carpool with to the park and ride.

We require all participants to have the following gear:
