Rescue skills and sea kayaks with two bulkheads required. Depart Freeport, ME Friday noon (parking/launch fee) for remote Maine Island Trail campsite. Saturday paddle to Jewel Island from base camp with side trip possibilities. Depart base camp Sunday for three island tour on return to mainland. Intermediate to advanced kayak paddling skills required. Participants will be responsible for all necessary kayak, camping equipment and meals (see leader). Saturday pancake breakfast provided. Wet/Dry Suits mandatory. Maximum trip capacity 8 paddlers. Mainland camp sites available (fee) for Thursday arrival at Freeport launch site.

Easy hike along field trails to observe nest box and field bird activity. BYOB (binoculars!). Meet at 1:30 PM in parking area next to entrance. From I-95 take exit 53 onto Rte. 133 toward Georgetown. Stay on Rte. 133 West to Georgetown Center, then go 3.5 mi and turn right onto Washington Street. Veasey Memorial Park is about 1.5 miles on left. Rain cancels.
Approx. 5-6mi. walk via North Point Park, new North Bank Bridge, USS Constitution, and Charles River Dam. Meet at 10:00am at the gazebo at Cambridgeside Galleria Mall fountain. Bring lunch and desire to explore. We'll cover the past, present, and future plans for this historic area. Note: On Sundays, Cambridge parking meters are free and it's OK to park on streets marked for Resident Permit Parking.
9:30am to 12:30pm. 6-mi hike featuring Aqueduct, Cold Spring Park, Webster Conservation Area, Hammond Pond Reservation and Houghton Garden. Meet at Waban T parking lot on Riverside line. Ends at Chestnut Hill T station. Heavy rain cancels.
