Spring Tuneup for Sea Kayak Leaders

Paddling Date: Sat June 1, 2013

Current and prospective AMC Sea Kayak leaders should attend our annual day long session to polish their skills and hone their training methods. The class is run by a number of ACA-trained Sea Kayak instructors. We will cover a full range of trip-leading topics, from planning and screening through strokes and rescue to safety, and the administrative details of running trips. Novice leaders will acquire practical knowledge on the water and grizzled veterans will share wisdom of seasons past. Bring warm paddling gear, dry warm clothing for the drive home, food and water for lunch and snacks, and any safety equipment that you own, such as paddle floats, bilge pumps, tow ropes, radio and signal flares. If you do not have access to a boat, we may be able to provide an extra boat.
