Join us for a moderately paced day hike to the exposed summit of Mount Moosilauke, which offers great views of the White Mountains and the Connecticut Valley. We'll meet at the Moosilauke Ravine Lodge and take the Gorge Brook Trail to the summit, enjoying good views as we get above treeline along the way before we eat lunch at the top. If the group is up to it, we might take a different trail on the descent, adding to our total mileage. Mileage=7.4 miles round trip / Total Elevation Gain=2,400' / Trip rating=B3B
Casey leads trips year around for the hiking/backpacking committee of the AMC Boston Chapter. He often leads 3 Season and is heavily engaged in the H/B leadership and training programs such as Spring/Fall Leadership Training as well as our educational programs in the Spring and Winter Hiking Programs. Like other hiker that hike before sun up and after sun down and do 20+ miles, Casey likes to do the same only keep it under 10 miles :) He's experienced but not a speed daemon.
