Join us for a day hike of the 4700 foot Mt. Carrigain. This is a great option for hikers who would like to finish one of the more isolated peaks of the NH 48s. It is a strenuous day hike with approximately 3250 feet of cumulative elevation gain and a distance of 13.5 miles. The hiking duration is 6-9 hours.
The summit fire tower offers 360 views of the sea of surrounding mountains. This is one of the most memorable peaks of the White Mountains because there are no views of roads or human construction from the summit. Only experienced hikers should join this trip. Trail conditions may vary at this time of the year. Prepare for snow, ice and mud on trails.
