The Devil's Path in New York is an amazing way to experience the Catskill Mountains. Considered one of the toughest hikes in the entire range (and also one of the most beautiful), we will be traversing six of the Catskill High Peaks over two days, covering over 25 miles and gaining 9,000' in elevation. Along the way we'll hike up Indian Head (3,573'), Twin (3,640'), Sugarloaf (3,800'), Plateau (3,840'), Hunter (4,040') and West Kill (3,880'). We will hike 13 miles the first day, camping roughly halfway at the Devil's Tombstone State Campground, and continue Sunday for the remaining 12 miles. Our pace will be moderate (1.5 - 2 mph). Gear List: Please be sure to bring all necessary gear for a backpack. Participants are encouraged to buddy up on tents, however, everyone should come with food that they are willing to carry and eat. In addition there is some group gear (first aid materials) that we will share in carrying.
