Apa Sherpa "On Top of the World" - Talk, Slideshow & Video

Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 3:30pm - The Verve, Crown Plaza Hotel, Natick, MA

Join the Boston Chapter for a unique video & slideshow hosted by Apa Sherpa himself - the only man in history to have reached the summit of Mount Everest a record 21 times, and one of the greatest mountaineers who has ever lived. Apa began working as an expedition porter in Nepal at age 12 and first reached the summit at age 30. He broke the record for the most Everest summits with his 11th trip to the top in 2000, and continued to break his own records with 10 more summit climbs until 2011.

Come listen to Apa speak of his experiences, including a video of his growth from a young porter into a world-class mountaineer, and a slideshow depicting a mountaineer's journey from Kathmandu to the lofty heights of Mount Everest. Questions & answers with Apa will follow.
