Maine Woods XC Ski Adventure

Thursday, February 23, 2017 9:00 PM to Sunday, February 26, 2017 8:00 PM

Discover the remote Maine woods on true ski adventure. We'll be based at West Branch Pond Camps within the AMC's 70,000 acre reserve east of Greenville, Maine. This year we offer two different types of experience in one trip!. Either BC ski on unbroken trails, winding up the White Cap Mtn ridge and through thick woods or "Max km" XC gliding on groomed or packed out trails.

Mount Moosilauke Backcountry Ski Trip

Saturday, March 18, 2017 12:00 AM

This backcountry ski trip will ascend and descend the Carriage Road on Mount Moosilauke in a one day outing. The trail is about 10.2 miles round trip with about 3000' of elevation gain and is a difficult outing. Strong physical conditioning is needed for the ascent and participants must be expert skiers/riders for the descent. The upper portion of this trail is above tree line and is exposed to strong winds and weather. Alpine touring, telemark, or splitboard equipment is required for this trip, nordic BC skis will not suffice for this terrain.
