Bicycle Repair and Information Workshop

2017 New Members Ride

Saturday, May 6, 2017

Join us for a fun and beautiful approximately 21-mile ride through Acton, Boxborough, Harvard, and Stow. Rolling terrain. Ride will be split into two groups: intermediate (13-16mph) and easy (10-13mph). Ride leaves promptly at 10:00am, Douglas School parking lot, 21 Elm St. Acton, MA. No advance sign-up necessary. Helmet, water, spare tube, and bike in good working order required. Rain cancels, check this website for a cancellation notice. Please arrive by 9:30 so that you can get your bike ready and participate in the safety talk.

Beginners' Instructional Bicycle Ride

Beginner instructional and easy ride. We will meet at a rail-trail northwest of Boston to review bicycling basics like shifting, signaling, tire inflation, proper helmet position, group protocol and the like before heading out together on a 10-12 mile ride at an easy pace with no significant hills. Bicycle Tour of Lake Champlain Islands 3rd Annual

All the charm of Lake Champlain Islands in 35-80 flat miles over scenic Vermont pavé roads (read: some unpaved sections), country stores, Adirondack & Green Mountains views, & dips in refreshing lake water.

The trip has all ingredients for relaxing yet active weekend: several stops at state parks, scenic views at every turn, multiple stops for locally fresh food, & frequent beach stops for opportunities to dip in the water. Plan on three days of riding: Friday through Sunday.

Biking North of the Whites 25th Annual Ride

All the mountain views without climbing ALL the mountains (just some-it is northern NH after all1). 30/75mi rides over scenic country roads & rolling hills north of notches in NH & VT, with some flats along the Connecticut River. Cost of $215/ppdo includes 2 breakfasts, 1 dinner, 2 nights lodging, happy hour snacks and down-to-earth ambiance at the Jefferson Inn in Jefferson, NH. Room set-up is good for singles, couples and groups of friends. Private rooms available upon request for single supplement fee.
